In that case I hope we're looking at Marcum, Romero, McGowan, Cecil, Morrow.JMac55https://www.blogger.com/profile/02216354586617229687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591539119179579663.post-34467987404320582882010-01-28T19:54:12.763-05:002010-01-28T19:54:12.763-05:00If McGowan is healthy? And really, it's only a matter of waiting for the next Jays pitcher to go to the DL for them to come up if so. *knock on wood*

I wouldn't bet against Richmond making a start this year. Even if he gets moved to the pen, he'd fill a swingman role and so would likely get a start here or there anyways. That being said, by my reckoning:

MLB: Marcum, Cecil, Morrow, Romero, Zep
AAA: Stewart, Mills, Ray, Drabek, Purcey
DL: McGowan, Litsch

Even if Drabek starts in AA there really isn't much of a spot for Richmond in a rotation. I agree with you about Tallet. He's a great guy to have in the pen, don't want to have to rely on him in the rotation.

Also: I also miss Roy Halladay.jwhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05779461626101396459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591539119179579663.post-18423577496542813562010-01-28T13:58:05.760-05:002010-01-28T13:58:05.760-05:00If McGowan is somehow healthy and ready to pitch, ...If McGowan is somehow healthy and ready to pitch, who gets bumped? Cecil and R-Zep must have options. Morrow might, too. The only "locks," and I use the term very lightly, seem to be Romero and Marcum. That being said, Marcum is coming back off Tommy John, so it might be premature to label him a lock.

My point really is: as long as Scott Richmond doesn't start a game this season, I will be happy. Hopefully Brian Tallet won't need to, either. He was good and all, but I like him out of the bullpen.

Also: I miss Roy Halladay.Navin Vaswani (@eyebleaf)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08445618400360263938noreply@blogger.com
